SMS Lifesaver App rewarded in Madrid

The SMS Lifesaver App, developed and implemented by UMS in cooperation with the CPR council in Sweden, was awarded in the competition Madrid Appetece.

The SMS Lifesaver App, developed and implemented by UMS in cooperation with the CPR council in Sweden, was awarded in the competition Madrid APPetece. The prize was founded by the Madrid City Council to draw attention to innovative initiatives developing applications facilitating the lives of the citizens of Madrid. The SMS Lifesaver App was highlighted as a well-functioning system that utilizes volunteers’ knowledge and makes them accessible to people in need. In addition to innovators and investors, the jury also included people from Madrid. The price was presented by the Director of Innovation in Madrid City Council.

The Madrid Appetece Awards have been presenting:

There were a total of 7 winners in the two categories: « Best existing urban applications » and « The best ideas for developing new urban application ». The awards ceremony was held at the Endesa headquarters in Madrid. The Madrid City Council, through the Innovation and Smart City department, promotes the Madrid Appetece awards, which recognize the entrepreneurial work applied to initiatives to improve life in the city. This project has been made possible with the financial support of the Business Forum in Madrid.
